"Left quad! Right quad! Lunge!"
A girls indoor soccer team warms up.
From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, the team navigates big questions and wages tiny battles with all the vim and vigor of a pack of adolescent warriors. As the teammates warm up in sync, a symphony of overlapping dialogue spills out their innermost thoughts, ranging from the importance ot next week's game to the toxic trap of body image to... Martin Luther King Jr. and genocide.
A sold-out Off-Broadway smash, the 2017 Pulitzer Prize finalist The Wolves by Sarah DeLappe is a portrait of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for nine American girls.
