Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play" is a production made up of adaptations of three early films directed by Alfred Hitchcock: "The Lodger," "Sabotage" and "The 39 Steps." These stories come to life in the style of a 1940s radio broadcast, with actors playing a collection of characters.

About the event

Old Library Theatre, Fair Lawn Recreation Department’s resident theater company, will hold auditions for "Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play" by Joe Landry on Wednesday, November 29th and Friday, December 1st. Auditions will be held at Fair Lawn Community Center, Card Room (next to Theater).

The production will be directed by Leticia Diaz and produced by Amy Kurfist & Caitlin Greene. The show will run for two performances: Saturday, January13th and Sunday, January 14th at the Fair Lawn Community Center.

We are seeking cast members that are energetic, vocally flexible, and willing to work in a group. Interest in foley art is a bonus. Open to all races/ethnicities as well as non-binary/gender-nonconforming performers. Ages 25+.

About Auditions

Both in-person and virtual submissions will be accepted.

In-person auditions for "Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play" will be held:

● Wednesday 11/29 6pm-9pm

● Friday 12/1 6pm-9pm

Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required. Those who pre-register for an audition date will be seen before those who walk in.

In-person auditioners will be given play script sides to read from. To audition virtually, submit a 1 minute monologue to allpuffystuff@gmail.com by (Friday, December 1st). Prepare your best variety of British, Scottish, or other accents.

Call backs, by invitation only, will be held Saturday, December 2nd from 1pm-4pm.
